Prof. Abdulateef Usman is a Fellow of Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (FNERC); Research Fellow of the National Center for Hydropower Research and Development (NACHRED).
He attended the famous Offa Grammar School Offa and the School of Basic Studies of Kwara State College of Technology (University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate. Studied Economics and at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, where he obtained B.Sc.(Hons) and Ph.D. respectively with specialization in Trade, Labour and Industrial Economics. He was also at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
He is a multi-skilled Economist. (Human Resources Development; Utility Pricing and Distribution; Environmental Impact Assessment of Industry, Trade & Development). He was a former Vice Chancellor at Fountain University, Osogbo.
